Here’s how to hide photos on your Android device using google photos. Ever wished you could hide your photos or videos from the main photo album in your Google Photos app? Actually the thing is you can’t hide the photos as you can hide in other hidden photo/video vault. But here you can hide the photos by “archive”, Its a new feature in google photos. This new feature is currently rolling out to Android users. An app update isn’t required for the feature to magically appear, as long as you have Google Photos version 2.15 installed. This feature is also have on iOS and the web.
Steps to archive images in google photos
Step 1: Firstly you need to sign up to your google photos account. If you have existing account you can sign in directly.
Step 2: After sign in sync your device to google photos for backup (your photos and videos)
Step 3: To archive an item , open the app and select one or more items which you need to hide from photos.
Step 4: Next, tap on the menu button > Archive. Additionally, a new Archive menu option will appear after you archive for the first time.
Step 5: Archiving a photo or video does not delete it from your Google Photos account, it just hides it from the main Photos feed. The items you archive are left in any previously assigned albums, and are still searchable. New archive feature is designed to remove the clutter from your Photos stream or avoid a potentially embarrassing situation when letting someone scroll through your photos.
